These are the days that Disney Adults have circled in their calendar for months. We’ve pored over every detail, analyzed every concept art image, and have had our park reservation booked for weeks. That’s right, a new attraction has opened at Disney World, and our time to shine has come.
Animal Kingdom is going through a massive transformation right now to add Pueblo Esperanza, the Tropical Americas themed land taking over DinoLand U.S.A., and with all the excitement of Encanto and Indiana Jones, you might have forgotten that a new show is moving into the Tree of Life. Zootopia: Better Zoogether has officially opened in Animal Kingdom, and we’re here to spill all the details.
Zootopia: Better Zoogether is in the Tree of Life in Discovery Island. Once you walk down the big hill towards the tree, make a right, and you’ll see the show! They have new, bright, and colorful signs welcoming you to the world of Zootopia.
Discovery Island is BUSY, probably one of the busiest times we’ve seen it. Despite this, the lines for the show aren’t too high! We saw it jump to 40 minutes, but it’s been around 20 minutes since then. The show is about 9 minutes long and has a decent-sized capacity, so they’re moving through people pretty fast. We found that our wait time was very accurate when we were waiting
You can also purchase a Lightning Lane for this attraction through the Lightning Lane Multi Pass. On opening day, it costs $22, and you’ll also be able to book other attractions in Animal Kingdom.
We were able to see the show during an early preview, where we shared all the fun and interactive parts, so if you’re ready for spoilers, you can check that out here. I will say, don’t forget to check out the queue and holding room for more details. My favorite part is that the benches don’t stab you in the back with a puff of air to mimic a hornet’s sting (may It’s Tough to be a Bug rest in peace — but not too peaceful).

For the new Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde meet and greet, which is right next to the show, you’ll have to grab a virtual queue. This time, it isn’t in the app, but you’ll head straight to the meet-and-greet, where you’ll get in line, sign up, and receive a text once your time is called. On opening day, it took us about 1 hour to get our text to return, then 40 minutes in the physical line. When we spoke with Cast Members, they weren’t sure how long this virtual queue would be in place, so you might want to wander over to see what’s hopping if you’re looking to meet them.
Don’t forget to check out all the snacks and merchandise for the new show and Zootopia 2 as well. The food is so cute and themed to perfection.
