First launched in 2023, Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios has become one of Disney World’s most popular Holiday events.
The after-hours event features Christmas decor, characters in their Holiday best (including Chewbacca celebrating Life Day!), entertainment offerings, including The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, jazz music at the Hollywood Brown Derby, and the Jingle Bell, Jingle JAM! nighttime spectacular, and the Kermit and Miss Piggy-hosted Disney Holidays in Hollywood, merchandise, and — of course- – SNACKS!
Market
First up was the Mike-aroon, a toasted coconut cookie with green white chocolate and topped with a sugar eye for $5.29.
You’ve gotta really love coconut to enjoy this one, but if you do, you’ll be a big fan. The frosting and butterscotch chips make the flavors fun, especially for kids, but they may not be a fan of the actual texture.
The Bing Bong Candy Lemonade is a frozen strawberry lemonade slushy and butterfly pea flower tea topped with pink cotton candy and freeze-dried candy for $6.99.
This is like a slushy-fied, hyped up version of a strawberry lemonade in the best way, and those freeze-dried Skittles really bring a fun texture into the mix. It does melt pretty quick towards the bottom, though, so be ready!
We also grabbed the Caramel-Apple Cider for $5.29. This definitely has that caramel apple taste to it, and due to that addition, it’s a little thicker than your normal apple cider. While the caramel popcorn on top does get a little softer due to the steam of the drink, it’s still super solid. You can also get this with moonshine added in there if you’d like, for an additional price.
We could totally see this spot going unnoticed during the party, but we’re here to tell you that it’s TOTALLY worth stopping by!
Hollywood Scoops
Two of the most picturesque items this year are both at Hollywood Scoops. The Kermit Mint Whirl is $9.79, and is Green apple boba pearls and white chocolate cheesecake topped with mint chocolate chip ice cream and green M&M’S Milk Chocolate candies. Then, you’ve got the Miss Piggy Strawberry Glam for $9.79 as well, which is made with Strawberry boba pearls and strawberry cheesecake topped with chocolate pearls, strawberry ice cream, and pink M&M’S Milk Chocolate candies.
Both of these are served in souvenir cups, and while we love how they look, we’ve never had ice cream on top of cheesecake before…and we don’t really want to again. You’d go into a bite expecting it to be ice cream and would get cheesecake, or vice versa, and while the ice cream is quality hand-scooped ice cream and the cheesecake is also nice and creamy, we just think it’s a little off-putting.
The boba was really interesting texture-wise, but the flavors didn’t really mix, especially with the Kermit one, because it’s mostly mint, and then suddenly you get green apple. If you’re a big fan of the Muppets and you want the souvenir cup, go for it, but we don’t see these being the most popular otherwise.
Backlot Express
There’s a lot to experience here, starting with the Hickory Holiday Mac for $6.49, which is Macaroni & cheese with burnt ends, crispy onions, and chili pepper sauce. This one was very solid, though it does have some serious heat to it, so if you’re spice-adverse, you’ll want to stay away. The hickory flavor was slightly off-putting to us, as it was almost like barbecue, but without the sweetness. The mac and cheese itself was pretty average, nothing totally special, so part of us wished it had been baked, but it’s still a solid choice.
The Jolly Jam Slider is an Angus burger with bourbon-garlic-bacon jam, smoky paprika aïoli, and chili pepper sauce served on a Hawaiian roll for $6.29. The sauces here really sold it, and we did appreciate that the burger was a thicker Angus burger situation. It was a step up from Disney’s classic “meh” burgers, so if you want the flavor profile without getting something massive, this is the way to go.
The Sleigh Bell Brussels Sprouts will cost you $4.79 and are made with bourbon-onion jam and crispy onions. These are very aromatic, and we did enjoy the sauce they’re tossed in, but they weren’t a huge standout to us. They’re pretty middle ground — they won’t let you down, but may not blow you away either.
One of the standouts to us was the Sweet Chili Cheer Chicken Slider for $5.79, which is Chicken thighs tossed in sweet chili aïoli, topped with Asian slaw and cilantro, served on a brioche roll. The sweet chili aïoli and Asian slaw really took things to the next level for us, and we loved that the pieces of chicken didn’t have a lot of fat on them. It reminded us of what you may have if you go to your cool aunt or uncle’s house for Christmas and they make a dish that’s not the norm, but just as delicious.
For dessert, you can grab the Holly Jolly Bread Pudding, which is Warm bread pudding swirled with chocolate-hazelnut spread and topped with cherries, holiday sprinkles, and a chocolate gingerbread man for $5.49. A Cast Member told us that kids are LOVING this one, and while we enjoyed it too, we wished it had been a bit more gooey. We also would have loved a little more of a sweet icing as well as a cinnamon flavor, but we still think it’s a great choice for those wanting something sweet.
To drink, you can grab the new Figgy Pudding Martini, which is Figenza Mediterranean Fig Flavored Vodka, fig jam, agave, half & half, ginger beer, and allspice, garnished with nutmeg for $9.50.
This had a lot of allspice and ginger beer flavor to it, and the latter was a little off-putting to us, so if you’re not a fan of ginger, you likely won’t be a fan of this one. However, we think for $9.50 it’s worth a try to see if it’s something you’ll really like. It takes you a few sips to decide how you really feel about it. If you want something more adventurous without paying an arm and a leg for it, this is a good choice!
Ice Cold Hydraulics
The Jolly Gingerbread Mini Churros, which are gingerbread churros with chocolate-hazelnut sauce and holiday sprinkles, can be yours for $5.29!
These weren’t great, but they weren’t terrible either. The churros themselves are actually a level up from the normal churros we have in Disney World, but we do think the gingerbread on top could have balanced a bit better. It plays with your taste buds a bit, but while we liked the flavor of the hazelnut spread on top, we think it would have served better as a dipping sauce.
Are they as great as Disneyland churros? Not by a long shot, of course, but if you’re passing by and find you’d like a festive churro treat, they’re not a bad choice!
KRNR The Rock Station
The Arepas de Choclo are sweet corn cakes with cheese, topped with cilantro aïoli and served with jícama slaw, and they’ll cost you $4.99. The arepa was wonderful — not at all intensely dry like the ones we’ve had in the past (although we do understand they’re supposed to be on the dry side). It was moist in the best way and had a great sweet corn flavor with a perfect amount of cheese. What really stood out to us was the sauce here, which was very garlic-forward, even though it was only listed as cilantro-aoili, which we found interesting. It was so good, we could have drunk it with a straw — we wholeheartedly recommend it unless you hate garlic or are on a first date and don’t want your breath to smell of, you know, garlic.
The Churro Sundae is available for $6.99 and is made with churros topped with vanilla soft-serve, spiced apples, and spiced chocolate sauce. The churros themselves weren’t anything out of this world, but since they were so thin, they stayed pretty crispy despite all the soft serve on top. Now, we were a little surprised because those spiced apples do have a kick to them! We thought it fit really well for this area of the party, but just beware if you’re not a fan of spice, and even with that, it may not be exactly what you were hoping for.
To drink, you can grab the Spiced Apple Sangria for $9.50, which is Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, red wine, apple cider, Minute Maid Orange Juice, and lemon and lime juices garnished with a star fruit chip. This totally tasted like a hot mulled wine, yet cold and refreshing. We also wouldn’t have been able to tell it was Fireball unless you told us — we would have guessed cinnamon syrup. It’s very fruity and didn’t have the burn that’s typically associated with Fireball.
Finally, you can snag the White Cranberry Margarita for $11, which is Teremana Blanco Tequila, Grand Marnier Liqueur, white cranberry juice, lime juice, and simple syrup with a sugar rim and cranberries.
We had heard a lot of people say they really enjoyed this, but unfortunately, this was very tequila-forward rather than fruity like we were expecting, and it tasted like very CHEAP tequila. We’ll be honest here — we saw a LOT of people at the party who were giving us strong UK Pavilion-EPCOT vibes, and by that, we mean, people had had a good bit of alcohol, so it’s likely that that’s why this one was so popular. We only tasted a hint of cranberry, just mostly that cheap tequila, so unless you want a really strong drink, we suggest staying clear.
Snack Cart on Sunset Boulevard
The Blue Sparkling Cider, which features White cranberry juice, guava syrup, blue curaçao syrup, lime juice, and sparkling apple cider with a blue sugar rim and sugar snowflake (Non-alcoholic).
If blue raspberry were a cider, this would be it! The only difference between this one and the alcoholic version is that it comes in a different glass, and of course, there’s the addition of champagne in the alcoholic one. However, both have the zestiness of Mountain Dew, and are very much bubbly and sweet like a cider. Both versions are also the Annual Passholder exclusive drink this year, so you’ll need to have your AP and ID with you. Is it worth it? We’d say the alcoholic version is, if you’re not tired of drinks by the end of the night, but the non-alcoholic one isn’t anything special, so we don’t suggest going out of your way to grab it.
Fairfax Faire
To eat here, the Raspberry-Lemon Square is available for $4.99, which is Lemon filling topped with raspberry powdered sugar and glazed raspberries. While we wanted to love this one, you could get a better lemon square from your local coffee shop, and we don’t really think this one is worth the spend. The raspberry powder on top was more like a candy powder, which was unique on its own, but wasn’t enough to save the lemon bar.
As for your drink, the Eggnog here is Traditional eggnog with caramel swirl for $5.29.
This one is your classic eggnog, so while it’s not anything special, if you’re looking for eggnog, then you won’t want to miss this one!
Tune-In Lounge
We couldn’t resist trying the Holiday Dill-light for $11. This concoction features Hendrick’s Original Gin, John D. Taylor’s Velvet Falernum Liqueur, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, lime juice, pickle juice, chili-lime rim, and pickle garnish.
As our reporter is a big dill pickle fan, they really loved this, but, as you can guess, if you’re not a fan of pickles, this won’t be the drink for you, because it’s pickle through and through. Due to all the ingredients in here, we were fully expecting to dislike this one, but alas, it may be the best pickle cocktail our reporter has ever had! The different fruit juices added a sweetness to the pickle flavor that worked very well, especially since the acidity of the pickle is also different than the acidity of the lime. It reminded us more of a sweet bread and butter pickle taste, and we couldn’t recommend it more for pickle fans!
After beginning on November 8th, the 2025 Jollywood Nights event will take place on November 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th and 29th, as well as December 1st, 6th, 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th and 22nd. Stay tuned to DFB for more on the event!
