It’s the little things in life that keep us coming back to Disney World every day. Yes, we love incredible new rides, rare characters popping out of nowhere, and upcoming expansions to be built, but sometimes all we need is a simple snack to keep us coming.
Disney World feels like it’s turning into Zootopia with the new show, Zootopia: Better Zoogether, Zootopia 2 coming out, and new snacks appearing every day. We’re back in Animal Kingdom, trying out another drink themed to our favorite dynamic duo.
Meet the Cub Soda for $6.29 at Eight Spoons Cafe. This is made of Sprite, blueberry syrup, and a Pawpsicle-inspired ice cube.
We know it doesn’t look like much, but we changed our minds after a sip. Disney World almost never offers specialty sodas, so we knew we had to try one to see if it’s worth the price, since a Sprite from the soda fountain is $4.79. Each sip was very balanced, with the right amount of blueberry flavor, and the soda’s sweetness came through, so neither flavor was overly strong.
The whole drink was refreshing, and we loved that there was finally a fun drink for kids, especially with it being caffeine-free. The ice cube, of course, is super cute, and we know the littles ones (okay, and the adults) are going to love taking fun photos and have a little soda pick-me-up. Now, do we think this could be a little expensive for a soda? Maybe, but bottled sodas are about $5.50, so it’s only a small upgrade for something that feels more special and fun.
We’ve been trying all the Zootopia treats around Animal Kingdom right now, so make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more tips on what to eat and drink during your next Disney World vacation.
