It is officially the holiday season at Disney World. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicked off in Magic Kingdom last night, on November 7th. Now it is time for the start of Disney Jollywood Nights! We are at the first event of the season, and we are bringing you all the details about what to expect and whether this event is worth the money this year. 

The streets were decked out in festive decor, twinkling lights shone bright, Gertie showed off her Santa hat, and we tried out everything that Jollywood Nights has to offer. Should you spend the money to attend this special holiday event? We are here to help you decide if the event is worth the price tag.

Disney Jollywood Nights is a separately ticketed event that happens on select nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The holiday event features plenty of festive fun! Throughout the night, you can enjoy a variety of entertainment offerings, specialty food and drink items, shorter waits for select attractions, special character meet-and-greets, and more! But the question is: Is it worth the price tag?

Jollywood Nights takes place on select nights from November 8th through December 22nd, 2025. In total, there are 13 event nights happening this year. Tickets range in price from $159 to $199, depending on the date. In comparison, tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom cost between $169 and $229, depending on the night. So while Jollywood Nights is slightly cheaper, both events cost quite a bit.

The event runs from 7:30 PM to 12:30 AM; however, with a Jollywood Nights ticket, you can enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios as early as 5:30 PM. So, if you arrive as soon as you can enter, you’ll get 7 hours inside the park. You can get a lot done in 7 hours! Once the clock strikes 7:30 PM, you can start to take advantage of the exclusive party offerings.

To start, Jollywood Nights offers a lot of exclusive entertainment. You can watch international champion skaters in Glisten — A Skating Spectacular and enjoy a variety show hosted by Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy called Holidays in Hollywood. You can also sing along during the What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along and watch the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! fireworks spectacular. 

Additionally, you can head over to the courtyard of The Hollywood Tower Hotel to enjoy the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club. There is also an Echo Lake Holiday Celebration, a Pixar Disco, and the Holiday Fiesta en la Calle. The Tip Top Club has such a great ambiance, and we loved seeing all the characters!

There are also lots of opportunities to meet rare characters, including a few new ones this year! New to the event this year are Chewbacca, Partysaurus Rex, Bing Bong, and Miguel. You will also be able to meet returning characters such as Baloo, Lotso, Mike Wazowski, Scrooge McDuck, Bo Peep, Phineas and Ferb, Max Goof as Powerline, Santa Stitch, Santa Duffy, and many more. There are more than 25 characters you can meet during the night. If you like characters, Jollywood Nights has PLENTY of opportunities to meet rare ones.

The event also features a variety of themed food and drinks for purchase. We always love trying out all the new themed food and drink. There are plenty of exclusive items, too — you could probably spend the whole evening just trying the food. You can also make reservations for Jazzy Holidays at The Hollywood Brown Derby, a sit-down experience featuring live jazz music.

Additionally, you can shop for a variety of event-exclusive merchandise. The merchandise is available only to Jollywood Nights attendees, so make sure you shop while you are at the event. You will spot Ollie the Gingerbread Man on a lot of the merchandise, including a spirit jersey, an ear headband, a Loungefly Bag, a mug, and an ornament. We think this merchandise is such a great keepsake to remember the evening at Jollywood Nights!

You can also take advantage of low wait times for select attractions in the park. The following attractions are expected to be available: Slinky Dog Dash, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. As well, you can also stop by and watch Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After or The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.

Plus, photo downloads are included with your party ticket. You can get as many photos taken as you want during the party, and download them ALL for FREE! Definitely take advantage of the free photo downloads; a picture is worth a thousand words, after all, right?

When Jollywood Nights debuted a few years ago, it was obvious it was new and needed to find its way. The party greatly improved last year, though, and this year, it was even better. We hate to compare it to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but Jollywood Nights is now a major contender for holiday events in Disney World. The entertainment is also top-notch, and if you’re looking for a party that feels a little more Hollywood, Jollywood Nights may be the ticket to get this year.

There is definitely a lot to enjoy at Jollywood Nights, but is it worth spending up to $199 for it? While we wish we could provide you with a definite yes or no answer, it really depends. It depends on what you and your family want to experience and how much you are willing to spend. You probably won’t be able to get everything offered at Jollywood Nights done during the event, but are the things you could get done worth it to you?

There are lots and lots of entertainment offerings, all of which you would not be able to see during normal hours. You can also meet rare characters, try out new foods, and pick up exclusive merchandise. Additionally, wait times for the attractions were low, so you could ride your favorites.

While we enjoyed our time at Jollywood Nights, we also don’t think this event will be for everyone. Consider all the offerings and decide whether this event is best for your family! Also, consider Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, or just purchasing a day ticket to one of the parks. Only you will know the best choice for your family.
