Grab your calendars — another Disney World restaurant will start taking reservations soon!
Wailulu Bar & Grill is the newest restaurant to open at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, located at the new Island Tower. This isn’t your typical pool bar — it features an all-day menu for lunch and dinner, plus specialty coffee and on-the-go morning pastries available for breakfast. Up until now, this restaurant has been first-come, first-served, but that’s all changing in December.
Wailulu Bar & Grill will begin taking Advance Dining Reservations in December! Disney updated the Wailulu page on its website, revealing that reservations will be available beginning on December 3rd, with the earliest reservation date being the following day, December 4th.
Wailulu Bar & Grill offers stunning views of Seven Seas Lagoon and Cinderella’s Castle at Magic Kingdom, plus it features some incredible infinity pool elements as well.
Appetizers like Sweet Potato Hummus and Spiced Ham Musubi are joined on the menu by more substantial eats, including Sticky Pork Ribs, Poke Bowls, and a Wayfinder Burger — which is one of the best burgers on Disney World property, if you ask us. A signature Polynesian Resort treat — a DOLE Whip Sundae — is also up for grabs!
Adding reservations at Wailulu should make it a bit easier for people to plan to dine there! That way, folks won’t have to roll the dice by walking into a potentially busy restaurant with no availability. It’s unclear whether Wailulu will still offer walk-up seating (potentially at the bar), but we expect breakfast and coffee service to remain grab-and-go, as it has in the past. We’ll let you know if that changes once reservations begin, though.
And, if you haven’t already been to Wailulu — this is your sign to book a reservation on your next Disney World trip!
We’ll be on the lookout for more dining and food updates you need to know about from Disney World. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!

I too LOVE, LOVE the burger at Wailulu bar. Their housemade onion relish really sets it off. Enough spices, but not too much. I suspect one of the reasons they went to reservations is the lack of parking currently being experienced due to construction going on in the area. The parking attendants were instructed to allow visitor parking if patrons wanted to visit the restaurant. Since there was no reservation system in place, parking was granted but in a lot furthest east (near the Morea building) . I like the reservation system better. Any idea when reservations will be accepted on the Disney App?
