All aboard! We’ve been waiting for this day for months now, and it’s finally here. We’re embarking on the Disney Destiny, which will have its maiden voyage on November 20th, 2025.
From a new Hercules show, a Cruella de Vil piano bar, and a Lion King-themed dinner, we’re taking you along with us to explore all the tips you need to know before you head on your sailing (or for those of us who are just obsessed with Disney Cruise Line and want ALL the details).
The Disney Destiny is sailing out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, offering 4 and 5-night cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean. You’ll get to visit Disney’s Castaway Cay or Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, too!
Grand Hall
Check out all the details in the Grand Hall! This is where you’ll enter the ship and is a main hub for meeting characters, some shows, and more. When we came in, there were so many characters to meet.
The main statue for this ship is the Black Panther, so make sure to grab a photo here!
It was also revealed that Susan Egan, the voice of Meg from Disney’s Hercules, is the Godmother of the Disney Destiny!
And now, onto the ship!
Dining
For our first dinner rotation, we’ll be headed to the Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King, which is themed to our favorite lions who just can’t wait to be king. Along with dinner, there’s an incredible show that tells the story of Simba and his journey to the king.
Then we’ll head to Worlds of Marvel, which we’ve seen onboard other ships. This one has a Guardians of the Galaxy twist, which was super fun to see.
Don’t forget about 1923! The Walt Disney Studios started in 1923, and this restaurant, which is also on board other ships, allows you to see artifacts, sketches, and more from your favorite movies. It’s a sophisticated dining experience (but not too fancy — don’t worry), with classic California flavors.
There are also smaller dining stops like Edna A La Mode Sweets…
…Marceline Market…
…and Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods.
One of the lounges onboard is De Vil’s, dedicated to the puppy-obsessed Cruella de Vil. There’s live music with plenty of drinks to try.
The Sanctum is also here and is themed to Doctor Strange.
Personally, we’re obsessed with the Haunted Mansion Parlor. While we’ve seen this on other ships, it truly feels like you’re walking into your favorite Disney attraction with so many details to explore.

Aboard the Disney Treasure, the Haunted Mansion Parlor honors more than five decades of fandom and introduces the world to the next chapter of the Haunted Mansion saga. Guests will enjoy spooktacular, specialty cocktails themed to the classic Disney Parks attraction and its inhabitants, as well as a variety of Haunted Mansion details from around the world. Cask & Cannon is new and is for lovers of Pirates of the Caribbean! It’s an old pub with “acquired” treasures with interactive drinks.
We also stopped by Cafe Megara!
What about those staterooms??
Room Tours
There are different rooms available, including inside rooms, oceanview rooms, verandah rooms, concierge rooms, and royal suites, so there’s really something here for everyone.
We’ll be touring staterooms and suites as we explore the ship, so stay tuned!
Entertainment
You know it’s not a Disney Cruise without incredible entertainment. What we are most excited for is Disney Hercules, which is a new concept to the ship. It takes you through the beloved movie with the iconic songs you know and love.
Frozen: A Musical Spectacular will likely be a family favorite, featuring Anna, Elsa, and Olaf. The other show on board is Disney Seas the Adventure, which stars Goofy and other lovable Disney and Pixar friends as they go on an ocean adventure. This show is on other ships, and we’ve always loved it!
Characters
Something the Disney Destiny was so proud to support was the large number of characters on board. You can meet our favorite heroes and villains, as well as your Disney favorites.
We also spotted our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!
We also ran into Dr. Facilier around the Grand Hall. You can join him for a game, but be careful what you gamble.

Guests aboard the Disney Destiny may encounter the swindles and scams of the playfully sinister practitioner of the macabre, Dr. Facilier, in the upper levels of the Grand Hall or in his own makeshift parlor, inviting guests in for a card trick or sleight of hand. (Disney)
Stay tuned for more coverage of the characters on board!
Souvenirs
Of course, we need to show you the souvenirs! We love being able to do our shopping and find some items to remember our trip.
From Loungefly bags to ears, we’re obsessed with the gold accents.
