Walt Disney — A Magical Life — NOW OPEN!
For the first time in history, Disneyland guests can “see Walt Disney through the magic of Audio-Animatronics technology” in a new show presented in the Main Street Opera House. Walt Disney — A Magical Life made its debut on July 17, 2025 (which is the 70th Anniversary of the opening day of Disneyland!).
Main Street Opera House has been home to the Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln attraction since 1965. (The attraction first debuted when Walt Disney brought it to the 1964 New York World’s Fair.) Walt Disney — A Magical Life will have an initial run as the only show playing in the Main Street Opera House. Ultimately, however, it will share a space inside the Main Street Opera House and will be shown in rotation with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln at a future date, to be announced.

NEW Adventures Coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run — Debuting May 22, 2026!
Disney has announced Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will soon feature one of the most popular Star Wars characters, the Mandalorian! There will also be new Star Wars destinations to explore including including Bespin, Tatooine, the ruins of the Death Star (we are STOKED), Coruscant, Beggar’s Canyon, and more!
AND for the first time ever, you and your crew get to be in control of the destination!! It will fall to the Engineer on board to choose where to go throughout the journey, where passengers will team up with the Mandalorian, Grogu, and Hondo.
You see, Hondo Ohnaka just found out about a deal on Tatooine between ex-Imperial officers and some pirates, and, yep, there’s a good bounty for their capture. So the mission is to “borrow” the Millennium Falcon and team up with the Mandalorian and Grogu to track them down.
This new Mandalorian and Grogu storyline will coincide with the release of upcoming films on May 22nd, 2026.

First Ever Coco Ride
Disney California Adventure in Disneyland Resort will be home to the very first ride in a Disney park themed to Pixar Animation Studios’ Coco!
You’ll be joining Miguel on a special journey, seeing characters and hearing unforgettable songs from Coco on a trip to the Land of the Dead.
When Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro announced the new attraction in August 2024, he shared that “Walt Disney Imagineering will draw inspiration for the attraction from beloved classics, like Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. We’re bringing our skeletal cast of characters to life in a big way through the latest Audio-Animatronics technology. These figures will appear in ways you’ll have to see to believe.”
The brand-new Coco ride will be located near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier in areas that are predominantly backstage currently. Construction on this new attraction is set to begin backstage in the fall of 2025, while the attraction itself is set to break ground in 2026. We CAN’T WAIT to share EVERYTHING about this highly anticipated attraction with you as it is revealed.
New Avengers Campus Attractions AND Land Expansion
In September 2022, Disney announced that a NEW attraction will be part of an upcoming expansion of Avengers Campus (which opened in Disney California Adventure in June 2021)! The in August of 2024, Disney announced that Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure will actually be doubling in size and adding TWO new attractions to the Marvel-themed area.
Avengers Infinity Defense
First up is the LONG-AWAITED Avengers E-Ticket attraction…

Avengers Infinity Defense will have guests join in battle across the multiverse alongside the Avengers to defeat King Thanos and recover stolen Stark technology.
Initially teased at events going back to 2019, the latest and final version of the attraction will be called Avengers Infinity Defense.
Disney describes the new attraction’s plot as such: “Technology that allows the Avengers to jump between worlds has gone missing, and King Thanos is using it to wreak havoc everywhere. Recruits will travel to iconic locations like Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City alongside the likes of big and small heroes. You also just might find yourself face-to-face with King Thanos, too.”

In Stark Flight Lab, “you’re going to sit in two-person pods and deploy to a test station. Then a robot arm grabs your pod and starts whirling you around in a simulated flight.”

Though Disney has not revealed a completion timeline for the Avengers Campus expansion, it has been confirmed that work on the project has officially begun: As of Sunday, January 12th, Disneyland has closed the Timon parking lot to make way for construction at Avengers Campus.
Please be aware that construction on the Avengers Campus expansion shut down a California Adventure attraction, the Red Car Trolley, on February 8th, 2025. Disney needs the space taken up by the trolley’s barn for the expansion, so the entire ride has been permanently closed.

Here, in an innovative attraction, you’ll explore new areas of Pandora in a “thrilling excursion that will bring all the action, excitement, and wonder of Avatar, taking guests all the way to the wide-open seas of Pandora.”
This new addition will take over a portion of the current Hollywood Backlot area in Disney California Adventure. Disney noted that to make way for this new experience, Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! will close in early 2026. When the attraction closes, a multi-year construction project will begin in the fall of 2026.
