The Disney Dining Plan is a method of pre-paying for meals and snacks at Walt Disney World. There are two versions of the Plan at different price points to suit different needs: the Quick Service Disney Dining Plan and the standard Disney Dining Plan. The Disney Dining Plan is an optional add-on that must be purchased as part of a Disney World Vacation Package which also includes your Disney World hotel stay.

On occasion, Disney offers the Disney Dining Plan to guests for FREE with the purchase of a paid Walt Disney World Vacation Package (Disney World Resort hotel room and theme park tickets). Nicknamed “Free Dining” by Disney fans, this is easily one of Disney World’s most popular promotions!
Can Disney Vacation Club Members Get Free Dining?
When offered, Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members are able to purchase Disney Dining Plans, but cannot take advantage of Free Disney World Dining Offers while using their DVC Points for accommodations.
In order for DVC members to book Free Dining, they must book a Walt Disney World Vacation Package through Disney, complete with a Disney World Resort hotel stay. Again, the stay can NOT be booked using DVC points.*
*The exception to this rule is the FREE Disney Dining for KIDS promotion coming in 2026, as this is not a traditional Free Dining promotion. Guests who purchase a Disney Dining Plan for a 2026 Disney World Resort stay can take advantage of FREE Dining for KIDS (ages 3 to 9) for that reservation.
