Character Dining is an important part of the Disney experience when traveling with children… or children at heart 🙂 . There are thirteen different Character Meal venues at Walt Disney World proper, plus a few others in satellite locations.

What’s a Character Meal?
For those new to Disney travel, “Character Meals” are dining experiences in which Disney characters meet and greet guests while they dine in a restaurant. Disney pals generally travel from table to table, stopping to interact with each party for a hug, photo, autograph, or possibly a conversation.

Your group gets guaranteed quality time with characters in air-conditioned comfort (rather than standing in endless autograph-and-picture lines), while simultaneously enjoying waffles, pasta, carved meats, or in some cases, adult beverages. It’s a win for junior as well as mom and dad!

*The theme of Minnie’s Seasonal Dine changes throughout the year, with a tribute to the Silver Screen kicking off the year (starting January 5, 2026), followed by the Springtime Dine (typically March through May)! A beach party scene is set for the year’s Summertime Dine (typically late May through mid-August) followed by fall’s Halloween Dine (typically mid-August through early November). The holiday season’s Holiday Dine wraps up the year and is running NOW — it kicked off on November 6th, 2025 and will run through January 4th, 2026.
