Two floats that had gone missing from the Festival of Fantasy Parade are BACK! The floats that have returned are the Pinocchio float…

The snack stand to the left of the castle appears to be closed, potentially for some refurbishment.

Progress continues to be made here…

…and we’ve seen workers actively making changes.

We also spotted some boxes/crates in the queue area.

The ride has a long way to go before it’ll be completely transformed…

…but each day it seems things are moving along.

Construction Updates

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Construction crews have been continuing work on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and we’ve been watching the progress with interest! Most of the mountain is covered in scaffolding now and we’re hoping to see some changes with the theming soon.

Sometime this summer, Disney is supposed to install the large Tiana’s Bayou Adventure water tower.

• More 50th Anniversary decorations have been removed — only 3 spires on the Castle remain decorated with the 50th Anniversary ribbons.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

• Construction workers are actively working around the area. The tiara-topped tower is set to arrive this summer so we’re on the lookout for updates.

• The Rapunzel float appeared to experience issues during the Festival of Fantasy Parade and was later hooked up to something to be pulled along.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

We’ve got an updated look at the progress being made on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! There’s still quite a bit of scaffolding around the front exterior so it makes it a bit hard to see big changes coming along.

The exterior queue appears to have a giant tarp storing supplies away from the elements as they continue to work on it and the interior parts of the queue line.

Construction Updates

Near Cinderella Castle

On May 9th, work continued on the back of Cinderella Castle as Disney removed more 50th Anniversary decor. The pathway on the side of the castle was still blocked partially.

We’ll keep an eye on this and let you know if there are more changes.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Over at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, things are moving along in the queue for the ride. We saw construction workers moving materials in and out of the building.

We also spotted some small additions near the base of the ride, at the bottom of the hill. Things seem to be changing here overnight.

We’re interested to see this project a few months from now and compare the progress!

Cinderella Castle

Disney is in the process of removing the 50th Anniversary decorations from Cinderella Castle, and on May 8th, we spotted a new wall that blocked off part of Sir Mickey’s and one of the castle’s side pathways.

The shortcut between Cinderella Castle and Tomorrowland was unavailable because of this, so we had to walk the long way around to get to the Merida meet-and-greet and Cinderella’s Wishing Well.

In the past few days, it looks like more work has continued near the bottom of the ride’s hill, with tarps and scaffolding ready in the path of the log flume.

We spotted some kind of green tubing lining the side of the ride.

We noticed that more scaffolding has appeared around Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, particularly on the sides of the mountain. It looks like the construction is moving outward from the middle now!

We’re interested to see how this whole area changes when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens in 2024.

Construction Updates

Cinderella Castle

For the past several weeks, the moat has been drained near Cinderella Castle as Disney works to remove the 50th Anniversary decorations. We noticed that some of the rockwork near the castle has been broken up and busted. 

Perhaps this was an accident with the construction crew, but it could’ve also been intentional. We’ll keep watching to see if there are more changes.

We noticed some new materials were added to the outdoor queue for this new ride.

It looks like Cast Members are working in the indoor section of this queue as well.

The rockwork that was rebuilt in the flume section is also starting to be painted.
