Refillable Popcorn Buckets are up for grabs in all four Disney World theme parks, and we’re sharing the whole scoop with you right here!

Refillable Popcorn Buckets

It couldn’t be easier to purchase and refill your Refillable Popcorn Bucket. Simply visit any participating Popcorn Cart selling Refillable Popcorn Buckets — which is just about every popcorn cart you’ll find in Walt Disney World theme parks — to purchase yours.

You will see the Popcorn in a refillable souvenir bucket option listed on the cart’s menu. The initial price of a standard Refillable Popcorn Bucket is $14.29 – $15.50, depending on the Cart (and excluding Specialty Premium Buckets, which we’ll discuss shortly), and it comes filled with your first batch of hot, buttery POPCORN!

Whenever you’re craving more popcorn, just visit any participating Popcorn Cart, and you can have it refilled with fresh popcorn for $2.49 (or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit). And the best part?

The $2.49 refills are valid through your length of stay!

Is the Refillable Popcorn Bucket a good value for your family? Well, one regular box of popcorn typically costs anywhere from $5.99 to $7.00 (or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit).

 

So, if your traveling group tends to enjoy more than a couple of boxes a trip, then the Refillable Popcorn Bucket is probably a good option for you. Plus, you get to take home your Bucket — which is often themed to a season and nearly always features Disney characters — and enjoy it as a souvenir after your vacation!

So, now you’ve got your Bucket! What’s next?

Where to Refill Your Bucket

As we mentioned, just about every Popcorn Cart in the Walt Disney World theme parks participates in the Refillable Popcorn Bucket program. But, to give you an idea, we’ll mention several locations where you can refill your bucket here.

Magic Kingdom

Popcorn Carts can be found in Magic Kingdom on: Main Street, U.S.A. (to your left upon park entry), at the Hub in front of Cinderella Castle, and in Tomorrowland, Liberty Square, Frontierland, and Adventureland.

Essentially, where there’s a land in Magic Kingdom… there’s a popcorn cart in it!

EPCOT

Popcorn Carts can be found in EPCOT at: World Celebration by the Imagination! pavilion, the World Celebration Cart next to the Creations Shop, World Discovery near the Mission: SPACE attraction, Fife & Drum Tavern in The American Adventure pavilion, and in the Canada pavilion.

Popcorn Pro Tip! You can find unique flavors of popcorn in EPCOT. The Canada Popcorn Cart, for instance, serves Maple Popcorn.

You can enjoy these flavors for the refill price of $2.49 with your bucket — the same price as refilling with regular popcorn!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

You’ll spot a few Hot and Fresh Popcorn Stands in the area just in front of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Hollywood Studios.

Please note, though, that Kat Saka’s Kettle in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge — which serves unique popcorn varieties including the spot’s signature Outpost Mix — does NOT offer refills.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Popcorn Carts can be found in Animal Kingdom at: Discovery Island (at The Feeding Ground Popcorn Cart), Africa (at Mahindi), and Asia (at Thirsty River Bar & Trek Snacks).

Disney Springs

Yes, you can even refill your bucket in Disney Springs! Though these carts can change location, it’s worth bringing your bucket along and keeping an eye out!

And now, let’s take a look at the Refillable Popcorn Buckets themselves…

Standard Refillable Popcorn Buckets

If you purchase a standard Refillable Popcorn Bucket, you will receive the current design on the basic (but still perfectly cute!) bucket.

While Disney releases new designs from time to time, the artwork often features the members of the Fab Five: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald Duck… and Chip ‘n Dale usually tag along, too!

A change of seasons often brings a new design, and you’ll likely find buckets themed to Halloween in the fall and the Holidays at the end of the year.

And here’s a note…

… even if your bucket is themed to a particular park, you can have it refilled at any participating cart in any park during your trip!

All of the standard buckets come with lids that are equipped with handles.

Popcorn Pro Tip! A carabiner works perfectly to clip these onto a bag strap, so you might want to pack one if you plan on purchasing a bucket.

Premium Souvenir Popcorn Buckets

You will definitely want to keep your eyes peeled for some truly unique and collectible Premium Souvenir Popcorn Buckets! Prices vary on the Premium Buckets; they tend to range from $22.00 – $30.00.

These options change frequently, as they are seasonal or designed to celebrate a current Disney film, attraction, or an event in the parks. But, just like the standard buckets, the Premium Popcorn Buckets are refillable for $2.49. And, a word to the wise: these Premium Buckets are considered highly collectible, and therefore often sell out quickly! If you see one that strikes your fancy, it might be best to pick it up as soon as you are able so you don’t miss out. (AND, of course, so you can start on those refills as fast as possible!)

Here is a quick look at the Premium Popcorn Buckets that are currently available in Disney World:

EPCOT

If you can read this terrific Popcorn Bucket news, thank the Phoenicians! Meet the Spaceship Earth Mickey Balloon Popcorn Bucket! It looks like a Mickey-shaped balloon (which is obviously the best shaped balloon) and is covered in the Spaceship Earth geometric, triangle design.

Are you ready for the best part? IT LIGHTS UP! We changed the colors to blue, red, purple, and green.

Find it at various popcorn locations around the park. If you want to grab this bucket, head to EPCOT as soon as you can.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Oh, BOY! The Mickey Mouse Bucket found at Popcorn Carts in Disney’s Hollywood Studios TALKS, MOVES HIS HEAD, and even BLINKS!

This one comes in at a whopping $45.00.

The popcorn bucket has a feature where it will go through three sound bites. You can keep saying “Hey Mickey” after you flip the switch to on, and rotate through the sound bites. So, talking to the popcorn bucket, and it talks back to you. 

You’ll find the on and off switch on Mickey’s back, as well as the speaker. (It does take batteries, so be aware of that.)

HAKUNA MATATA!! The Pumbaa Popcorn Bucket features everyone’s favorite warthog as a Disney popcorn bucket!

One thing that we REALLY love about this popcorn bucket, though, is that it comes with a strap celebrating Animal Kingdom.

If you’re wanting to grab one for yourself, it’s being sold at Trek Snacks and most of the popcorn carts in Animal Kingdom.
