Having made its debut at Universal Studios Japan followed by Universal Hollywood, Super Nintendo World is now in Orlando, too! Universal shares that “Guests will enter the iconic green pipe and discover a new way to play as they step into the worlds of beloved characters like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Donkey Kong.”

In Super Nintendo World, “you’ll experience a new way to play, from challenging Bowser on the Mario Kart™ ride to venturing through Donkey Kong Country™ and so much more.” Mark Woodbury, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Destinations & Experiences, calls Super Nintendo World “the most interactive, colorful world we’ve ever created.”

Entering the Green Pipe

Like the other lands at Epic Universe, you’ll enter SUPER NINTENDO WORLD through the portal — in this case, the iconic green pipe from Super Mario World!

“Here We Go!”

Super Nintendo World is divided into two areas — Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country.

Super Mario Land presents adventures alongside Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and other characters, and Donkey Kong Country is where you can encounter thrills featuring Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and other members of the Kong family.

Super Mario Land is home to two attractions, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and Yoshi’s Adventure, while Donkey Kong Country has one attraction, Mine-Cart Madness.

Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge — Super Mario Land

Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge combines it ride elements and sets with virtual reality using special glasses to put you right in the driver’s seat of the popular video game series.

You will enter through Bowser’s Castle and then hop into your kart as part of Team Mario.

Just like in the Mario Kart video games, you will be collecting coins and items, driving through obstacles, and tossing items at Team Bowser to compete for the Golden Cup. (Each ride through can play out differently!)

Yoshi’s Adventure — Super Mario Land

Epic Universe is home to a Yoshi-themed ride: Yoshi’s Adventure! You will be able to join the Yoshis on a search for glowing eggs throughout Mushroom Kingdom.

Don’t worry — Yoshi’s not going to take you out for a speed lap around Super Nintendo World. The brightly colored Yoshi ride vehicles will move at a slow-moving pace making this a great option for the whole family. You’ll encounter lots of familiar characters and enjoy views of Super Mario Land.

Toadstool Cafe

The main dining destination in Super Nintendo World is the Toadstool Cafe, located in Super Mario Land.

There is nothing at this Quick Service restaurant –from the setting to the food — that isn’t themed to the max.

Essentially, the menu is filled with familiar favorites taken to the next level. You’ll find burgers, garlic knots, meatballs, and even a specialty drink, all themed in a way that makes them look like they came straight out of a video game.

The land also houses three walk-up snack locations…

The Bubbly Barrel

The Bubbly Barrel in Donkey Kong Country only has one primary menu item, but WOW is it a doozy!

DK Crush Float

The DK Crush Float is an over-the-top concoction made with Banana Pineapple soft serve with sprinkles, chocolate pieces, and caramel popcorn in a waffle bowl, all served on top of a cup of Pineapple Fanta Soda

Yoshi’s Snack Island

You’ll find Yoshi’s Snack Island tucked into the base of Mount Beanpole in Donkey Kong Country.

Yoshi LOVES fruit, so it’s only fitting that Yoshi’s Smoothies are featured on the menu, available in apple melon and mango. But even though Yoshi’s favorite food is fruit, a savory Red Shell Calzone and Green Shell Calzone are also up for grabs here.

Turbo Boost Treats

Turbo Boost Treats is where you’ll find that beloved theme park staple, POPCORN! Additionally, you’ll find specialty Popcorn Buckets featuring Nintendo characters that you can refill for a reduced refillable price (as opposed to purchasing a full box).

Get ready to meet, greet, and interact with characters throughout various areas in Super Mario Land!

1-UP Factory and Mario Motors carry souvenirs, apparel, toys, and more inspired by iconic Super Mario characters.
